Buddy Team

The meaning of the word Gemini is "twin". The idea here is that every incoming student, who is interested in, gets a German twin - a Buddy. Therefore, our Buddy Team creates a questionnaire which has to fill out by every student who is interested in our Buddy Program. Here you get to the questionnaire of the Buddy Program. For the German students, it is no prerequisite to be a member of our initiative Gemini to register for the Buddy Program. Before the semester starts, the Buddy-Team evaluates the received applications and allocates the International Students with a German student. After the allocation, the Buddies get in contact. Then the German student have the task to answer the questions of the exchange student and helps him/her to find his/her way around in Pforzheim and in Germany. During the semester, the Buddies can decide for themselves how much time they want to spend together and what activities they wish to do.

We hope that new friendships will develop and maybe Buddies will have the opportunity to visit the home countries of our exchange students one day.

HOW TO GET OR BECOME A BUDDY:
1

FILL OUT THE QUESTIONNAIRE

2

MATCHING BY THE BUDDY TEAM

Notice that there are two different questionnaires: one for the International Students and one for the German Students at Pforzheim University. To start the registration procedure for the Buddy Program, you just have to fill out the right questionnaire.

Before the semester starts at Pforzheim University, the Buddy Team evaluates all received applications and then matches the students.

3

GET IN CONTACT WITH YOUR BUDDY

After the matching, it is your turn now! The Buddies will receive the contact details of each other and then it is time to get in contact with your Buddy.
